Lamb Loin Chops W/ Turkish Yogurt Sauce

 Ingredients List

  • 8 oz Plain yogurt
  • 1/4 ts Cinnamon
  • 1/4 ts Allspice
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
  • 2 cl Garlic; minced
  • 2 tb Fresh mint; chopped
  • 1 ts Lemon peel; grated
  • 1 ts Honey
  • 8 Lamb loin chops; 1 1/4-inch
  • . thick, about 5oz each


In a bowl stir together yogurt, cinnamon, allspice, salt and cayenne. Add
garlic, mint, lemon peel and honey and blend well. Cover and chill 2 to 24

Trim lamb chops. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Broil 4 to 5 inches
from heat 5 to 6 minutes on each side, to medium doneness. Pour yogurt
sauce evenly over all.
