Lean Mushroom Sauce

 Ingredients List

  • 1 Heaped tbsp butter
  • 4 oz Mushrooms; chopped
  • 2 tb Flour
  • 1 pt Warm milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Melt butter in large skillet.

Stir in flour, cook 1 minute.

Pour in warm milk gradually, stirring constantly until smooth and thick.

Season to taste.

Stir in mushrooms, simmer gently until cooked.

Makes 3/4 pint
