Low Fat Lasagna

 Ingredients List

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 3/4 c Chopped onion
  • 1 Clove garlic peeled and
  • 1 cn Tomatoes; (16 oz)
  • 1 1/2 c Tomato paste
  • 2 ts Basil
  • 1 ts Oregano
  • 2 ts Salt
  • 8 oz Lasagne noodles
  • 3 c Low fat cottag cheese
  • 1 tb Parsley flakes
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 3/4 lb Shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 c Grated parmesan.


Brown beef with onion and garlic. Add tomatoes, tomato paste basil, oregano
and salt. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Preheat oven
to dg350. Cook lasagne noodles. Mix cottage cheese, parsle flakes, and
eggs. In a 9 X 13 inch baking pan, layer half the noodles, cottage cheese
mixture, and meat sauce. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Sprinkle
with parmisan cheese Bake for 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before
cutting into 12 squares. ( about 3 X 4 inch pieces)
