Mandarin Salad

 Ingredients List

  • 1/4 c Sliced almonds
  • 4 ts Sugar
  • 1/4 Head lettuce
  • 1/4 Head romaine lettuce
  • 2 Stalks celery chopped
  • 2 tb Green onions chopped
  • 1 cn Mandarin oranges


2 tb Vinegar
1/4 c Canola oil
2 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
4 dr Tabasco sauce
1 tb Parsley chopped
Black pepper to taste

1. Melt sugar in a non-stick skillet ( donot brown).

2. Add almonds and stir until almonds are coated.

3. Transfer to a sheet of wax paper to cool.

4. Combine vegetables in a large bowl.

Prepare the dressing

1. Place all ingredients in a blender or small food processor and pulse.Add
pepper to taste.

2. Pour dressing over greens, add almonds and mandarine oranges and toss
until greens are well coated.
