Million Dollar Mashed Potatoes

 Ingredients List

  • 2 1/2 pounds baking potatoes (peeled and cut into chunks)
  • 8 tablespoons butter (cut into small pieces, room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or whipping cream (brought to a boil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • parsley (chopped, for garnish)


Step 1
In a medium saucepan, cook the potatoes in lightly salted water to cover, until tender. Drain well.
Step 2
Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or mixer in a stainless steel bowl.
Step 3
In a small saucepan, heat butter and cream until butter has melted. Add salt, pepper and garlic.
Step 4
Spoon mashed potatoes into warmed serving bowl and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
