Mint Simple Syrup
Ingredients List
- 1 Part (like 2 cups, 4 Cups, etc) Water
- 1 Part (like 2 cups, 4 Cups, etc) Sugar
- 1 Sprigs of Fresh Picked Mint, several leaves on each sprig per Cup of water/Sugar
- 1 tsp Vodka per Pint Jar if storing for up to 6 months.
Directions
1. Bring the water to a boil.
2. Dissolve the sugar into the boiling water and add the mint sprigs to the water, stirring constantly.
3. Once the sugar is dissolved completely, remove the pan from the heat. (SPECIAL NOTE: Do not allow the syrup to boil for too long or the syrup will be too thick.)
4. Allow to cool completely and thicken. At the same time the mint will be steeping, think making mint tea.
5. Once the syrup has cooled and thickens, strain out the mint, Seal in canning jars with a tsp of Vodka in each to help preserve.
6. Will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
7. Serve with Iced tea, Lemonade, or many Mixed drinks (Mojito, Daiquiris, Hurricanes, Etc.) And ENJOY!
