Mulled Apple or Pear Cider

 Ingredients List

  • 2 qt Fresh apple cider or pear
  • -juice
  • 1/4 ts Nutmeg
  • 1/8 ts Thyme
  • 1/2 ts Ginger powder
  • 7 Sticks cinnamon

 Directions

GARNISH
1 tb Finely crushed sweet basil

In a large enameled pot, gently simmer the juice with the spices for 7
minutes.

Break the cinnamon sticks, placing a portion in each tankard or chalice or
glass. Pour on warmed cider. Sprinkle sweet basil sparingly on top.
