My Cincinnati Five Ways Chili

 Ingredients List

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 2 tb Onion; minced
  • 3 tb Garlic; minced
  • 2 c Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tb Cumin;ground
  • 1/2 tb Chili powder
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 ts Cinnamon
  • 2 tb Cocoa powder; unsweetened
  • 2 tb Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tb Oregano;dried
  • 1 ts Vinegar; white
  • 1 cn Kidney beans; 19 oz;drained
  • Cooked spaghetti;or other
  • -pasta
  • Onions;yellow, minced
  • Butter
  • Cheddar;grated

 Directions

Brown ground meat, onions and garlic. Drain fat. Add spices, tomato sauce,
cocoa powder and vinegar. Simmer on low heat, 1 to 1/2 hours, stirring
occasionally. Cook spaghetti, drain and toss with 1 Tbsp butter. Fry onions
in butter. Reheat drained beans in water and drain.
