No-Fat Chocolate Cookies

 Ingredients List

  • 3 1/4 c Unsifted flour
  • 2 1/4 c Sugar
  • 1 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c Cornstarch
  • 1 tb Baking powder
  • 1 ts Baking soda
  • 1 1/2 ts Salt
  • Sift together all
  • -ingredients. Store in
  • -tightly covered
  • Container at room
  • -temperature. Stir before
  • -using.

  • 2 Egg whites, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 c Corn syrup
  • 1 tb Water
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c Basic Baking Mix (recipe
  • -above)
  • 1/4 c Sugar

~=>Basic Baking Mix Use this premeasured mix to prepare chocolate cookies,
brownies or a cake. Makes 7 cups of mix.

Preheat oven to 350~. Coat cookie sheets with nonstick vegetable-oil
cooking spray.

Stir together egg whites, corn syrup, water and vanilla in medium-sized
bowl. Stir in baking mix until well blended. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Spread sugar on small flat plate. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
Press balls flat with bottom of glass.

Bake in preheated 350~ oven for 6-8 minutes. Cool cookies on baking sheet
on wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove cookies from sheet to rack to cool
completely.

Per cookie: 61 calories, 1 g protein, .18 g fat, 14 g carbohydrate, 72 mg
sodium, 0 mg cholesterol.

Exhanges: 1/2 starch/bread, 1/2 fruit.

Tbsp marshmallow creme. Dust
