Ingredients List
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips divided
- 2 cups butterscotch chips divided
- 2 cups peanut butter divided
- 1 cup butter
- 3 oz. pkg. 'cook and serve' vanilla pudding not instant
- 2/3 cups evaporated milk
- 1 tsp maple flavoring
- 8 cups powdered sugar
- 12 oz Spanish peanuts or cocktail peanuts about two cups
Directions
Melt one cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, one cup butterscotch chips and one cup peanut butter in the microwave and mix until combined. Spread in a foil-lined jelly roll pan and place in the fridge to cool and harden.
Heat butter, vanilla pudding, and evaporated milk in a pot over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until it is thickened into a pudding. Stir in the maple flavoring. Pour the pudding into the heat-proof bowl of a stand mixer. Stir in the powdered sugar one cup at a time. Spread the maple nougat mixture over the cooled chocolate layer.
Melt the remaining semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter. Stir in the peanuts and spread over the maple nougat layer.
Allow the chocolate to cool and harden before cutting into bars.
Store bars in the fridge or freezer.
