Old English Cheddar Soup

 Ingredients List

  • 2 sm Onions; peeled & diced
  • 3 md Carrots; peeled & diced
  • 4 oz Bacon; diced
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 3 tb Flour
  • 4 c Chicken broth
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 1/4 c Amberg's Sur-Lie Chardonnay
  • 10 oz Heluva Good Sharp Cheddar
  • -Cheese
  • Salt; pepper and nutmeg

 Directions

Cook bacon in butter until light brown. Add onions and carrots and saute
for a few minutes. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring
continuously. Add broth, milk and Chardonnay. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add
cheese and season to taste.
