Pot Roast (Spndagsstek)
Ingredients List
- 4 lb Beef (chuck, blade or round)
- 2 tb Bacon drippings
- 1/4 ts Salt
- 1/4 ts Black pepper
- 2 tb Grated lemon rind
- 2/3 c Diced onion
- 1 Garlic clove ,sliced
- 1 1/2 c Dairy sour cream
- 6 oz Cooked noodles -or-
- 4 Potatoes cooked and cubed

Brown meat in drippings Add seasonings, peel, onion and garlic. Pour sour
cream over. Cover. Simmer(but do not boil ) for 3 1/2 hours, basting
occasionally. Add noodles or potatoes. Cover. Simmer for 20 minutes. serves
