Puamei's Walnut Slices
Ingredients List

- 1/2 c Butter
- 1 c Flour
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1/4 ts Baking powder
Directions
MIDDLE LAYER
1 1/2 c Brown sugar; packed
1 c Walnuts; chopped
1/2 c Coconut flakes
2 Eggs; slightly beaten
2 tb Flour
1 ts Vanilla extract
TOP LAYER
1 1/2 c Confectioner's sugar
2 tb Melted butter
2 tb Orange juice
1 ts Orange rind; grated
1 ts Lemon juice
BOTTOM LAYER: Combine butter and flour, which has been sifted with the
baking powder and salt. Spread in 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees
for 15 minutes.
MIDDLE LAYER: Combine ingredients and spread over bottom layer. Bake 25
minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.
TOP LAYER: Combine ingredients and spread over nut layer. Cut into tiny
squares, as they are very rich.
