Puff Pastry Cheese Sticks

  • 2 puff pastry squares ( 4 inch x 4 inch / 10 cm x 10 cm)
  • 1 egg lightly whisked
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese 60 grams - a flavorful cheese like an aged cheese or Parmesan (add less/more if needed)


Preheat the oven to 175 °C / 350 °F and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Flour your work surface and place the puff pastry on top.
Lightly brush the puff pastry with egg and sprinkle generously with cheese.
Take a piece of baking paper, lay it on top of the puff pastry sheets and roll with a rolling pin to make sure the cheese will stick to the puff pastry.
Take the baking paper off and cut the puff pastry into strips. Twist the strips and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake in the oven for approximately 10-15 minutes, till golden.
