Red Velvet Cake (10)

 Ingredients List

  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 1/2 c Cake flour
  • 1 1/2 c Cooking oil
  • 1 c Buttermilk
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1 ts Soda
  • 1 ts Vinegar
  • 1 Red (5/8 oz.) food coloring

 Directions

ICING
1 Box powdered sugar
1 pk (8 oz) cream cheese
1 Stick margarine

Beat eggs, Sugar, oil and vinegar together. Sift cake flour and soda
together-aid to mixture. Add milk slowly. Add flavoring and food coloring.
Bake 25 min. at 350. MAKES 3 LAYERS.

ICING: Allow cheese and butter to soften,, Cream sugar, cheese and butter
together. Spread on cool cake.
