Restaurant Style Queso Blanco

 Ingredients List

  • 1¼ (1.25) lb block White American Cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes {every recipe I saw called for Land O”™Lakes brand so I went with that as well}
  • ¼ cup diced green chiles, from a can
  • 2 pickled jalapenos, chopped {If you want it mild, leave these out.}
  • 1 ounce pickled jalapeno juice {same as above}
  • â…” cup whole milk
  • ½ cup cold water
  • pinch of cumin {optional}


Place all ingredients in pot. Heat on medium, stirring constantly. The mixture will seem watery at first but will come together as it stands. Make sure you keep stirring or it will burn on the bottom.
Serve immediately as a dip with tortilla chips or as a sauce over Nachos.
*Reheat Instructions: Store any leftover cheese dip in the fridge. Reheat in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until creamy and hot.
