Rum Slices
Ingredients List
- 4 Egg whites
- 2 c Confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 lb Pecans, ground
- 1/2 lb Walnuts, ground
- 1 ts Vanilla or rum
Directions
CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR GLAZE
2 tb Hot water, milk, or half and
-half
1/4 ts Vanilla, lemon or other
-extracts, or 1 tsp. lemon
-juice or rum
1 c Confectioners' sugar
Beat the egg whites until stiff; beat in the sugar and nuts. Add the
vanilla or rum.
Shape into rolls 3/4 inch across. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 45
minutes.
Preheat oven to 350F. Cut into 1/2 inch slices and place on greased cookie
sheets. Bake for about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and while still warm
ice with Confectioners' Sugar Glaze flavored with rum.
