Rutabaga Mash

 Ingredients List

  • 2 1/4 lb Rutabaga; peeled/cut in
  • -chunks
  • 2 Carrots; sliced
  • 1 Clove garlic; sliced
  • 1/2 c Warm milk
  • 1 tb Margarine
  • 3/4 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 ts Pepper
  • 1 tb Chopped parsley


In a saucepan over high heat, bring rutabaga, carrots, garlic and enough
water to cover to a boil. Reduce heat to med. and simmer 30-35 mins. or
until tender. Drain well and return to pot. Add next 5 ingredients. Mash
with potato masher. Stir in parsley.
