Sherman Salad

  • 1 md Cabbage
  • 2 lg Onions

 Directions

DRESSING
1 ts Celery seed
1 ts Prepared mustard
1 c White vinegar
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Vegetable oil
3/4 c Sugar (or less)

Shred cabbage, slice onions very thin, and altemate in layers. Combine
celery seed, mustard, vinegar and salt for dressing and bring to a boil.
Stir oil into boiling mixture and boil again. Add sugar to boiling mixture,
dissolve and pour over vegetables. Do not stir. Cover and refrigerate
overnight. Men like this salad very much. Serves 8.

REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT
