Sherry Onions

 Ingredients List

  • 1/4 c Butter or margarine
  • 5 md Onions;, sliced thin
  • 1/2 ts Sugar
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 c Sherry
  • 1/4 c Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ds Ground nutmeg

 Directions

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions, sugar, salt and
pepper. Cook until onions are soft, about 5 to 8 minutes. Add sherry.
Increase heat and cook quickly about 2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese
and nutmeg. Serve at once with grilled steak.
