Sis Tom's White Layer Cake

 Ingredients List

  • 1 c Crisco
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 3 c Flour (sifted)
  • 2 ts Lemon extract
  • 2 ts Baking powder
  • 1 c Milk
  • 8 Egg whites (unbeaten)

 Directions

Cream Crisco and sugar. Sift flour and baking powder. Add flour and milk
alternately. Add egg whites one at a time and beat 2 minutes after each
addition. Add flavoring. Bake in layers or a tube pan. Bake at 350 F.
