Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole.

Ingredients List
- 2 (16 oz) cans green beans, drained
- 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom Soup
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 (5 oz) can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 (2.25 oz) bag slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 (2.8 oz) can of French”™s Fried Onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Coat slow cooker with non-stick spray.
2. Layer one can of beans, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, 1/2 can water chestnuts, 1/2 bag slivered almonds then repeat.
3. Mix together cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup water and salt and pepper. Pour over green bean casserole. Top with fried onions.
4. Cook on high for 1 hour then turn down to low and cook for 1 hour.
===============Special Notes========================
I used cream of chicken soup. When I was a kid, I didn”™t like mushrooms, so cream of mushroom soup was yucky. Now I love mushrooms, but am still weirded out by cream of mushroom soup.
