Smothered Cabbage Rue Chartres

 Ingredients List

  • 1 Small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 lb Salami OR hot sausage
  • 1 Head cabbage, coarse chop
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Pepper
  • 1 tb Pareve margarine


Saute' onion and meat in margarine. Add cabbage (with water still clinging
to leaves from washing), salt, and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for
abt. 2 hrs.
