Spareribs with Black Beans

 Ingredients List

  • 1 lb Pork Spareribs -- 1"
  • Lengths
  • 3 tb Soy Sauce, Light
  • 2 tb Dry Sherry
  • 3 Cloves Garlic -- chopped
  • Fine
  • 1 tb Fermented Black Beans --
  • Rinsed and mashed
  • pn Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 ts Monosodium Glutamate
  • 1 ts Sesame Oil
  • 1 ts Garlic And Red Chili Paste
  • Or to taste
  • 2 tb Cornstarch
  • 2 Green Onions -- chopped
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper --
  • Julienned


Place the spareribs pieces in a colander and pour 2 qts. boiling water over
them, (do this over the sink). Drain well and stir-fry until lightly
browned. Drain fat and place them in a boil. Add all other ingredients
except the onions and green pepper. Mix well and then add the onions and
green pepper. Place in a steaming dish and steam for 1 hour and fifteen
minutes. They will be very tender and delicious.
