Spiced Apple Rings

 Ingredients List

  • 6 md Apples;firm
  • Sugar substitute to equal>>>
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 2 Sticks cinnamon
  • 3 Whole cloves
  • 1 1/2 c Cranberry juice;unsweetened
  • 1/4 c Lemon juice

 Directions

Wash and core apples; slice unpeeled into thick slices. Place in flat pan.
Combine remaining ingredients, and boil 5 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup juice
mixture, and set aside. Pour remaining juice mixture over apple slices.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples slices appear
transparent; baste occasionally with the 1/4 cup juice mixture. Serve Hot
or Cold as a garnish for your Salad. Or by itself: Yield: 12 - 1/2 cup
serving. Each serving may be exchanged for: 1 Fruit. Pat Empson 05/24 11:09
