Squash Puffs

 Ingredients List

  • 1 c Squash -- cooked
  • 1 Egg -- beaten
  • 1/3 c Flour
  • 1/3 c Cornmeal
  • 1 ts Baking powder
  • 1/2 ts Salt -- or more
  • ds Pepper
  • 1 md Onion -- grated
  • 1 1/2 c Cooking oil

 Directions

Combine squash and egg. Add all other ingredients except oil and mix=20
until well blended. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop batter by level=20
tablespoonful into hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain on
paper=20 towels.
