Three-Berry Compote

 Ingredients List

  • 2 c Sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 1/2 c Fresh blueberries
  • 1 1/2 c Fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 ts Ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tb Maple syrup
  • 1 tb Triple sec or other
  • -orange-flavored liqueur
  • 2 ts Vanilla extract
  • Fresh mint sprigs,
  • -(optional)


Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl, and stir well. Let stand 10 minutes.
Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 cup).

Serving Ideas : Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
