  • Wash, hull and slice into large shallow pan. Sweeten ~ 1 cup sugar to 4
  • cups prepared berries - or to taste. Stir and let stand in pan until sugar
  • dissolves (just a few minutes) then put in freezer containers leaving 1/2
  • inch head space for expansion. Put into freezer immediately. Berries can
  • also be crushed, sweetened and frozen.
  • To freeze berries whole, without sugar, wash, drain, remove hulls, and put
  • into containers and freeze immediately.

Title: To Grill Garlic
Yield: 8 Servings

8 Whole garlic bulbs; or heads
1/4 c Butter or margarine
4 Sprigs fresh rosemary; or

(Prepare outdoor grill for cooking.)
Peel outer papery skin from garlic, leaving cloves and head intact. On
double thickness of heavy-duty aluminum foil, place whole garlic heads; cut
butter into bits and distribute it and the herbs on top of the garlic. Fold
up foil and seal tightly. Place foil over hot coals and cook 40 to 45
minutes, or until garlic is softened, turning occasionally.
To serve, squeeze cooked garlic cloves from skin onto cooked meat and
vegetables or spread on bread. Or store as ingredient.
