Ingredients List
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup dark cocoa powder (Hershey's Special Dark)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2-1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 6 Tbsp butter at room temperature, cut into cubes
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1-1/4 cups Guinness beer
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Whisk flour, dark cocoa powder, and salt together in a bowl. Set aside.
Melt 1-1/4 cups semi sweet chocolate, white chocolate chips, and butter in microwave on 50% power in 30 second intervals until melted.
In a large bowl, beat sugar and eggs together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add melted chocolate and beat until just combined. Slowly add flour mixture, and mix just until combined. Whisk in beer.
Pour batter into the prepared baking dish; sprinkle chopped pecans and remaining 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips over batter.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool to room temperature and cut into squares.
