Tropical Fruit Medley with Anise

 Ingredients List

  • 2/3 c Unsweetened apple juice
  • 2 ts Cornstarch
  • 1/2 ts Anise seeds, crushed
  • 1 c Cantaloupe balls
  • 1 c Seedless red grapes
  • 1 c Peeled coarsely chopped ripe
  • -fresh papaya
  • 1 c Peeled coarsely chopped ripe
  • -fresh mango
  • 1 ts Brown sugar
  • Fresh mint sprigs,
  • -(optional)


Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan; stir with a wire whisk
until blended.

Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and cook 1 minute, stirring
constantly. Remove from heat, and let cool.

Combine cantaloupe and next 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl, and add apple
juice mixture, tossing gently. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Yield: 4
servings (serving size: 1 cup).

Serving Ideas : Garnish with fresh mint sprigs, if desired.
