Ingredients List
- Turkish coffee, 1 tbsp. (finely ground)
- Sugar, 2 tbsp.
- Cold water, 1 cup
- Cardamom, 1 pod
- Turkish coffee, 1 tbsp. (finely ground)
- Cold water, 1 cup
- Milk, 2 tbsp.
Directions
Bring water to boil in a small coffee pot. Remove the coffee pot from heat and add the freshly grounded coffee along with the cardamom pod. Place the coffee pot back to heat and allow it to come to a gentle boil. When foam comes to the top, remove from heat. Pour the Turkish coffee into small teacups and allow it to sit for sometime so that the coffee grounds settle at the bottom of the cup. It is always served with foam on top.
In a coffee pot, add the water and milk and let it come to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and add the ground Turkish coffee into the pot and also add the sugar. Allow the mixture to come to a boil until you see froth appearing on top of the pot. Remove pot away from flame and allow the froth to subside. Bring the pot back to boil till you get froth again. Pour the Turkish coffee into small tea cups and wait for a minute to allow the coffee grounds to settle at the bottom.
