Vegetarian Burgers (The Uncow Burger)

 Ingredients List

  • 1 c Canned butter beans
  • 3/4 c Bulgur; cooked
  • 3/4 c Barley; cooked
  • 1/2 c Quick oatmeal; uncooked
  • 1 1/2 tb Soy sauce
  • 2 tb Barbecue sauce
  • 1 ts Dried basil
  • 1/2 c Onions; finely chopped
  • 1 Clove garlic; finely minced
  • 1 Stalk celery; chopped
  • 1 ts Salt
  • Pepper to taste


With a fork or potato masher, mash beans just slightly. They should be
chunky, not pureed. Add the rest of the ingredients and form 6 patties.
Spray skillet with oil and brown patties on both sides.
