Vintage Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients List
- 3 eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1½ cups white sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees .
LIne a 9" pie plate with a single pie crust (store bought or homemade).
Beat eggs until foamy. Beat in butter, flour and sugar until fluffy.
Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
Pour into prepared crust and bake for 45-55 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool completely.
