Warm Saute of Winter Fruit

 Ingredients List

  • 2 tb Butter or margarine
  • 2 tb Maple syrup
  • 1 lg Apple -- cored; thinly
  • Sliced
  • 1 Firm, ripe pear -- cored;
  • Thinly sliced
  • 1/3 c Raisins or currants
  • 1/3 c Walnuts or pecans --
  • Chopped
  • 1 ds Ground cinnamon
  • 1 ds Nutmeg
  • 2 tb Water
  • 2 tb Brandy

 Directions

1. Melt butter in a saute pan or large skillet. Stir in maple syrup and
adjust to taste.

2. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat and stir until fruits
are tender.

* Timesaver Tip: Ingredients can be prepared ahead; rub apple and pear
slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
