White Wine Fruit Salad

 Ingredients List

  • 1/2 cup Dry white wine
  • 1 1/2 ts Grated lemon rind
  • 2 tb Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tb Sugar
  • 4 cups Honeydew balls or cubes
  • 4 cups Cantaloupe balls or cubes
  • 1 cup Seedless green grapes
  • Optional: Lettuce


First, place the wine, lemon rind, and lemon juices in a shallow serving bowl and then, while stirring constantly, dissolve the sugar in the mixture. Gently add the fruit. Chill for approx. 2 hours, tossing occasionally. Drain and serve.
For a nicer presentation, I suggest you serve it on a bed of lettuce.
