Williamsburg Scalloped Oysters

Ingredients List
- 1/2 c Butter
- 1/2 c Flour
- 1 1/2 ts Paprika
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1/4 ts Pepper
- 1 ds Cayenne
- 1 sm Minced onion
- 1/2 Minced green pepper
- 1/2 Minced garlic clove
- 1 ts Lemon juice
- 1 tb Worcestershire sauce
- 1 qt Oysters with liquid
- 1/4 c Fine cracker crumbs
Directions
Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, cooking & stirring until light
brown. Stir in paprika, salt, pepper & cayenne. Add onion, green
pepper & garlic; cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring. Remove from
heat & add lemon juice, Worcestershire & oysters (which have been
picked over & heated in own juice). Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart
casserole; top with cracker crumbs. Bake in 400 oven for 30 minutes
or until bubbly.
